At 49 y.o. I am finally excited about a presidential candidate! If you don't know a lot about Sen. Obama, I encourage you all to go to his website (Nik included the link) and click on Issues.If you like what you hear now is the time to get involved! We need everyone's voices to be heard in this campaign.
I can tell you why *I* will vote for him: his values and goals appear to correspond the most closely with my own than those of any other politician to have opened his (or her) big yap over the last seven years. I also believe that he is, relatively speaking, the least overtly partisan of the current Big Names, and therefore the most likely to have a chance at closing this yawning chasm dividing the country right now.
However, that's where my priorities lie. If you'd like to read more about the guy, the link on this post is a pretty thorough one (though of course be sure to read what his critics have to say, too). Chew on it, decide how he compares to any other prospects, and vote accordingly. In the end, it's not up to anyone else to tell you what to do.
(Being that this is my blog, however, my own opinions will be rather conspicuous. :) )
