Oh, across these many ocean miles
We're sending you some birthday smiles
And plenty a hearty hug, to boot,
To add to your pile of birthday loot.
Friday birthdays can be great:
'Cause first in school you celebrate,
And then continue on that night
With streamers and with candles bright
And maybe friends who longer stay
For Saturday's a weekend day!
And so, for you, our Katiedid
We wish you joy and fun amid
Family, friends, and also those
Who are to you in spirit close.
Happy birthday, sister dear!
You are loved both far and near!
